Major Roadwork on I-95 in Baltimore City

Changing traffic patterns through Fall 2015. EXPECT MAJOR DELAYS or use I-695 (Key Bridge) or I-895 (Harbor Tunnel) if traveling through Baltimore City.

A major project is underway to remove and replace the existing concrete deck (riding) surface and roadway joints on mainline I-95 and the ramps serving I-95 between the Fort McHenry Tunnel and Caton Avenue (Exit 50). The $64 million, approximately five mile project includes daytime and nighttime traffic lane shifts and splits on mainline I-95, reduced lane widths, elimination of shoulders and full-time and part-time ramp closures and detours around the work zone.

The project began in March 2014 and is expected to be completed later this year.
